Beach Reach is go!

Hello friends!

Praise our wonderful God! Jonathan and the team are now in South Padre Island for Beach Reach! They drove through the night on very little sleep, and have made it safely. I want to thank you, first, for your prayers.

As you are praying this week for Jonathan and the team, you can connect with the Beach Reach people through the Prayer Wall.

You can also access the Prayer Wall from the Beach Reach website.

I will update what I can, specifically from the ENMUCC team, as I hear from them. Thank you again for praying!

In His Love,
Erin

Beach Reach is on the horizon!

Good morning friends!

I hope this post finds you all very well. Our family has been fighting off a sickness that is finally on it's way out. Jonathan was out of commission for a few days, but he is starting to feel better. Please pray for his continued recovery, and health as he leaves to South Padre Island in just 5 days, and the trip will be extremely demanding.

Beach Reach
We are about a week away from Spring Break over here, and 5 days from the team's departure to South Padre. They are set to leave Friday evening, and will be driving through the night! In the past couple of weeks they have been sharing with people here at ENMU, giving away water and ramen and various locations on campus, and learning all about how to serve and evangelize. The material for Beach Reach has been really beneficial and they team is getting the last things in order before they take off!

Beach Reach prayer requests:

  • Safety. This encompasses two things:

    • ---Travel to and from SPI---We just found out Jonathan won't be the only driver (a HUGE blessing) but everyone will still be very tired. Please pray for energy to drive, for the van to work properly, and for the weather to be fit for travel!
    • ---During Beach Reach--- The team will be helping party-goers who are often drunk. This may pose a risk because of the volatile nature of some people when drunk. They will also be driving around the island late at night.

  • Modesty for both the ladies and gents, that they would guard the hearts of their teammates, fellow believers, and those they will meet.
  • Health--that the students would not be sick, as this is a very demanding week with little rest.
  • Open doors, open hearts and open mouths---that they would see many open doors to tell the gospel, that the people hearing it would be open to it and ultimately be saved, and that they would have "open mouths" in boldness but also with love and gentleness.

  • English Corner
Last Friday was the very first English Corner and great things are happening! There were 4 international students there, along with 4 BSUCC students. Again, this is such a great opportunity to build relationships, and hopefully to share the gospel in those relationships. Please continue to pray for this event, which will begin again after Spring Break.

Thank you for your continued support! :]
